Simple answers.
Is Craftlane really free?+
Yes. This version works without subscriptions, paid APIs or accounts. Static hosting providers may have their own free-tier limits for the website owner.
Are my photos and videos uploaded anywhere?+
No. Media processing uses your browser's Canvas, MediaRecorder and related APIs. We don't operate a server to receive your media. Files remain on your device until you choose to download the result.
What video formats can I export?+
Video tools export WebM on browsers that support MediaRecorder with WebM. Some browsers may support different formats or not support video recording. The thumbnail and text-motion tools also export PNG stills.
Does the video resizer keep audio?+
Where supported, the browser's Web Audio API routes the video's soundtrack to the exported file. Codec and browser restrictions can affect results, so check the downloaded clip before publishing.
Can I use this on my phone?+
Yes, the interface is mobile-friendly. Browser video recording and file support vary across iOS and Android. Chrome or another Chromium-based desktop browser generally provides the best video-export compatibility.
